About Awards

Here is a place where you can win awards for your Sims 2 site, nominate other sites for awards, then vote for your favorite Sims 2 sites.  Nominations can occur at any time, but any nominations received during a voting cycle will be used for the next month.  Starting on the 2nd of each month, the nominees will be put on a ballot for voting!!  The vote ends at 8:00 p.m. EDT/EST (GMT -5) on the 25th of each month, unless otherwise stated on the Home page.  Winners are posted by the second week of the month (the winners will be announced on the winners page). New nominees are selected by you, the fans! 

The sites that win will receive an "award" to display on their websites.  The awards include the sites' name, date that they won, and category for award.  You can a sample of these awards on the Buttons page.

All sites that are nominated will be included in the vote, as long as they are a Sims 2 fansite and as long as that voting ballot isn't full (and haven't won for an award for 3 months).  You may only nominate a site for one category. Also, make sure--when you nominate a site--that you specify which category you want to nominate the site for (best genetics, best lots, etc.)--and you might want to make sure that site includes what you're nominating it for.  :-) 

If a category does not have 3 nominees by the time voting begins, there will not be a vote for that category. If 50% or more categories do not have nominations, there will not be a vote for that month.

If a nominated site has closed (whether permanently or temporarily) at the time of voting, that site's nomination will be purged. Only sites that are open and updated at least every 3 months will be included on the ballot.

Please notice: If you are a winner and you do not receive your award in your e-mail within 30 days, please contact me at ts2listadmin at hotmail dot com.  Also, if I cannot find an email address on your site, it may be impossible for me to send you an award....so make sure that I can contact you. I only save awards for 1 month, so you'll need to make sure I can send you your award when you win.

Note to Webmasters: If you do not get contacted about a nomination you've received, it's probably because I could not find an email addy or quick-form to fill out. I do not join sites just to announce to a website owner that they've been nominated for an award.
